David has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2008 and is also a Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
David has extensive experience and particular expertise in the production of planning policy documentation, including Local Plans, Neighbourhood Plans, Infrastructure Plans, CIL Charging Schedules and Masterplans. David is also adept at managing multi-disciplinary teams, and project managing complex planning and regeneration projects.
From 2010 until 2015 David worked for Maldon District Council in Essex as Strategic Planning Group Manager where he managed various teams across the Planning Department. David led the production of an up-to-date Local Plan and planning policy framework for the District in accordance with National Policy. David also introduced a range of service improvement measures to ensure that large scale and complex proposals were effectively and proactively managed by the Council to meet future development and infrastructure needs.
David has extensive experience of planning consultancy having worked for Boyer in Colchester as an Associate Director, Urban Practitioners in London as a Principal Consultant and Atkins in Epsom and London as a Planner.
