Anna Cronin is a chartered town planner with over 30 years’ experience in planning and management, particularly in policy, development management and partnership working in unitary and district councils.
Anna has held posts as director and head of service in several local authorities. She managed services including housing, regeneration, and environmental health, in addition to planning, and successfully promoted the links between these services.
Anna understands the political realities of the public sector and the issues facing local authorities. She has carried out – and put into practice – several service reviews, and change and improvement projects.
Both in permanent posts and – since 2010 – as an independent consultant, Anna has supported the drafting of several Local Plans and core strategies.
She is an experienced interim manager and has carried out research and consultancy work for a number of local authorities. She has also provided planning advice to a number of private sector clients and to the third sector. She has a particular interest – and skills – in partnership working and staff development.
